Every mature software organization runs on some process. Be this Agile, SAFe, Scrum, or some homegrown hybrid, the Software Development Lifecycle exists for one reason: to coordinate human beings with potentially diverse skillsets doing knowledge work at human speeds. Sprint cadences, review gates, estimation rituals — all of it assumes that the bottleneck is human cognition, human communication, human coordination.
